Lauryn Adams

Welcome y’all!

I am so glad that you have found yourself on my page! My name is Lauryn Adams and I am a native of Atlanta, Georgia. Here’s a little bit of my story!

When I was 12, I had the privilege of performing as “Sarah” in Ballethnic Dance Company’s production of “The Urban Nutcracker”. I loved the feeling of being on stage and the responsibility that came with the role. Dancing as “Sarah” was the moment I knew that I wanted to perform for the rest of my life.

All while training at Ballethnic, I also attended The Paideia School, a K-12 private school in Atlanta. At Paideia, I developed a unique love for advocating for underserved communities and creating spaces for under-represented people to feel seen and heard. At Paideia, I also had the privilege of expanding myself creatively in musical theatre and through performing in, choreographing, and producing various student-run productions.

At 16, the director of the theatre program at Paideia asked me to choreograph the junior high school’s production of “The Lion King Jr.”. This was the first full-length show that I had ever choreographed and it simultaneously grew my passion for theatre, connecting with others, and choreography.

Upon graduation, I moved to North Carolina to attend Elon University as a double major in Dance Performance & Choreography and Political Science. There, I grew as a performer, met some of my best friends, and assumed the role of Class President for two years. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I moved back to Atlanta to finish my education in political science at Spelman College where I now am finishing up my senior year. I have also begun my professional career as a dancer and actor.

My other interests include playing my guitar and my piano, cooking for loved ones, enjoying the sun, and spending quality time with my friends and family!

Through performing, I hope to inspire and empower people to see the endless potential within themselves and the world around them. One of my favorite quotes reads, “to inspire people, don’t show them your superpowers. Show them theirs”. All of the people that I look up to have made me feel limitless and I hope to do the same through my work!

Again, I am so glad you have made it to my website. Feel free to browse my page to get to know me better!

With Love, Always,

Lauryn Adams
